We recommend that taxidermy items be picked up from the post office as soon as they arrive. We will normally place a "call upon arrival" label on the box with customers phone #. Please make sure you provide us with a phone # that the post office can reach you at once your items arrive.
Orders are shipped out the first Monday after order is placed. If that Monday is a federal holiday your order will ship on Tuesday instead. During weeks that contain a holiday mid week, to avoid a late arrival, shipping may be delayed to the following week.
Your tracking # will be e-mailed to you after the birds are sent. These emails are normally sent in the evening after 8pm.
Orders normally arrive either next day or second day.
We insure all package for the amount of the birds. However if you choose to waive signature it will void the insurance.
In the rare case of spoilage due to late arrival (example of late arrival for express mail would be shipped monday and arriving Thursday or later) we will assist you in collecting the the amount the birds are insured for and the actual shipping cost as long as the following conditions are met:
Any late package should be picked up directly from the post office and must be checked for spoilage before you leave the post office.
Spoilage must be reported to a postal worker and a PS form 1000 (7530-02-000-9931) must be filed with your post office. --IMPORTANT-- This will need to be done at the time you are picking up your package, two copies of this form will be turned in to the post office, you will keep one copy.
Please then e-mail us a copy of the form.
If the claim is not handled as outlined above, the post office may not pay the insurance, in which case you would not receive any refund.
It is noteworthy here to mention that we have never to date had an issue with late arrival and spoilage on any of our taxidermy items. The procedure for claims outlined above is based in part off of our experience with late arrivals of live birds.
